Harold Wax
Director of Global Security, PepsiCo Inc.

Harold has been working in the corporate security field for over 24 years and holds his CPP, PCI and CFCI professional designations. Harold is an RCMP trained Counter-Terrorism Information Officer (CTIO) and currently holds an Enhanced Level III (TS) Security Clearance.

Harold is currently the Director of Global Security for PepsiCo, Inc. responsible for security and crisis management for all PepsiCo Canadian Operations including beverages (Pepsi, SodaStream, Tropicana, Bubly, Gatorade, etc.), and foods (Frito Lay and Quaker Foods). Prior to joining PepsiCo, Harold led corporate security and business continuity management for BGIS. Prior to that, he led corporate security and investigations for Symcor Inc. Harold is considered a subject matter expert with respect to cheque fraud and organized financial crime, as well as critical infrastructure protection/counter-terrorism.

Harold also has an extensive volunteer law enforcement career serving as an Auxiliary Member of the Ontario Provincial Police for 25 years, as well as holding a Reserve Police Officer commission with the Lafayette Police Department in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Harold is a recipient of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers (the highest honour for volunteerism in the Canadian Honours System) as well as the Ontario Auxiliary Policing Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct. In 2020, Harold was recognized as the Canadian Security Director of the Year by Canadian Security, and in 2021 was ranked #4 on the Global Security Executive Influencer List by IFSEC.

Michael Wood
Captain, Toronto Fire Services, and Recruitment Coach

Mike has 26 years with Toronto Fire Services. Here is currently serving as a Captain in the Haz Mat/CBRNE program. Mike’s first passion is to serve the community, a close second is mentoring individuals. 5 years of research into recruitments, looking at patterns and habits that lead to success. That information has allowed Mike to apply that knowledge to a large number of individuals personal hiring journey. This has resulted in Mike and his business partner coaching over 400 individuals to their dream careers in the fire service.

As Program Coordinator of the Centennial College Pre-service Firefighting Program, Mike has first-hand knowledge of the barriers and challenges that many individuals face as they seek a career in the fire service.

Mike is a recipient of the Intercultural Dialogue Institute Public Heroes Award and various recognition for the work carried out in communities in Toronto.

Sherri Ireland
President, Security Exclusive

Sherri Ireland, CISSP, is a senior leader in the physical security industry.

In 2015, she started Security Exclusive, providing cyber awareness training, security consulting and recruiting services. Sherri is the vice-chair of the ASIS Toronto Chapter, a board member and treasurer of the Canadian Security Lifesaver Association, and serves on the editorial board of Canadian Security. In 2020, she was also recognized as Community Leader of the Year by Canadian Security.

Sherri is a life-long learner. In 2018, Sherri graduated from Ryerson University with a certificate in Computer Science and Digital Forensics. She also recently completed the University of Alberta’s Indigenous Canada course and has received CPTED Level 1 certification.

Since 2013, Sherri has served as part-time faculty in the Protection Security and Investigation program at Fleming College.
